Kristian Tadel, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Government Expenditure, Management and Control Affairs; urged the judicial institutions to fulfill their responsibilities as the government and public resources are not being used for the purpose of the world.

Mr. Christian Tadele said this a few days ago when the Federal Auditor General’s Office presented the 2014 financial performance report to the Parliament.

“The efforts of the Auditor General’s office are encouraged so that government and public resources are properly used for the intended purpose,” said Mr. Christian.

He stressed that the Auditor General should work harder to achieve better results by evaluating the plans and reports of the executive offices.

Mr. Christian; said, “Since the executive body does not pay attention to the audit findings, the refund rate is meager, so the House of Representatives is required to monitor institutions and establish accountability.”

“Since government and public resources are not being used for the purpose of the world, corruption and malpractices are becoming a national threat, so judicial institutions must fulfill their responsibilities properly,” he said.

On the part of the Federal Auditor General’s Office Mrs. Basa Damte; “Even though a professional opinion has been given to refund 6 billion 838 million 886 birrs in 86 government offices, only 0.65 percent of it has been refunded, so it is not bringing the desired change,” he said.
